ARTIST PHAN THANH BINH
1. Outline artist biography and art.
• The artist was born in 1959.
• He studied at Hue College Of Arts.
• (1978-1980) & Hanoi Fine Arts University(1980-1985), master’s degree at Ho Chi Minh Fine Arts University(2001-2004).
• From 2010 he is now a PhD of Art history and theory.
• He is a lecturer at Hue College Of Arts from Nov. of 1985 to 1999.
• From 1999 till now, he is the head of Foreign and Science Dept. of this College (2005-Jan 2008) as well as the vice-rector (since Feb 2008).
• 2010 he is a Rector of Hue College Of Arts
Family: His wife is a teacher at Hue Academy of Music. He has two children, his first daughter is a third year student of Fine Arts College and his son is high school grade. Except from receiving wages from the government, he has to do a lot of jobs to earn for living such as, writing for newspapers regularly, teaching at another universities, painting, and doing some research, etc..
