Artist Dinh Chau Minh (born in 1969 in Hanoi) is a Vietnamese female visual artist. Her artistic talent emerged at an early age, and one of her paintings was exhibited at the Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts when she was only 13 years old.
Biography and Career
Education: She graduated from Hanoi College of Fine Arts (now Hanoi College of Arts) in 1990.
Professional Career: After graduation, she worked as an editor and art designer—particularly in illustrating fairy tales—at the Women’s Publishing House. In 1995, she decided to leave the publishing house to devote herself fully to her artistic career, working independently with galleries and pursuing creative practice full-time.
Style and Works: Dinh Chau Minh primarily works with oil painting, silk, and contemporary mixed media. Her artworks reflect traditional artistic techniques while maintaining a distinctive, romantic, and deeply contemplative personal perspective.
Notable Activities:
- She is a member of the Women Visual Artists Club under the Hanoi Fine Arts Association.
- She has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Vietnam and internationally, notably the group exhibition “Into Summer” in 2010 at the Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts.
