I. The biography of artist Quan Tho:
Quan Tho was born in 1951. He began learning drawing and painting in childhood under the guidance of a French pastor. He later studied at La San Adran School, where he received formal artistic training from the Lasan priests.
II. Quan Tho’s artistic style:
In 1972, he moved to Saigon. Between 1975 and 1990, he devoted himself to painting directly from nature, a period that shaped his distinctive landscape works. From 1982 to 1986, he attended evening art classes to further develop his artistic knowledge and refine his creative practice.

Exhibitions: 1972: Exhibition together with Lasan Adran priests in Da Lat. 1985: Exhibition young group (HCMC).
1986: Exhibition with painter Thuan Ho.
1987: Individual exhibition.
1988: Individual exhibition.
1989: Exhibition with a watercolor Group of District 5.
1990: Exhibition in Hoi An and HCM City.
1991: Exhibition together with different painters at the City Fine Arts Association.
1992: Individual exhibition at Saigon Tourist.
12/1992: Individual exhibition in Taiwan.
1993: Exhibition in London. 1994: Individual exhibition in Taipei (Taiwan). Invited and sponsored by the Taiwanese Gallery in October 1994.
1996: Exhibition in Switzerland.
1997: Exhibition Manila, Philippines.
1998: Exhibition in Singapore.
2002: Exhibition at Equatorial Hotel in Vietnam.
2003: Exhibition at Sofitel Plaza in Viet Nam, organized by Particular Gallery.
2004: Exhibition at Metropole and La Vong Gallery in Hong Kong.
2005: Exhibition at Washington in the USA by Mint Gallery, Saigon tower, and a“Fine Art Auction” organized by Ben Thanh Art & Frame and STCC.
2006: Participated in an Art Auction of Operation Smile HCMC.
2007: Participated in an Art Auction of Operation Smile HCMC.
Collections:
From 1991 to 2010, numerous paintings of his were sold to different collectors and to galleries in Holland (Gallery Mint), America, France, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, and different diplomatic delegations of France present in Vietnam (notably the Intercontinental Asiana Saigon hotel).
