The overall of the painting is the harmonious combination of five colors: White; Green; Blue; Red and Yellow. And these five also represent for: Metal; Wood; Water; Fire and Earth in Wu Xing.
If we let our mind interfere, analyze then we will only focus on the six dancing flamingos and come to conclusion that that is the content of the painting. However, the content of the painting is supposed to be what its overall tells. The content glows out of that overall called the “Divinity” of the painting. This happens naturally when the artist puts all his mind into creation. The Divinity we see in the painting is the artist’s divinity transferred into it.
